Wenbo is reading a story about Mulan. 文博正在读一个关于花木兰的故事。
What was she like? 她是什么样的？
A long time ago, Mulan and her family lived a quiet life in a small village. 很久以前，花木兰和她的家人在一个小村庄里过着平静的生活。
One day, a war began. 有一天，战争爆发了。
The emperor called her father to join the army. 皇帝召她的父亲参军。
Mulan was worried. 木兰很担忧。
My father is old and ill. “我父亲年老生病。
My brother is too young. 我弟弟太小。
How can they go to war? 他们怎么能去打仗？”
Then Mulan had an idea: I can go in my father's place! 然后木兰有了一个主意：“我可以代替我父亲去！”
She dressed up as a man and joined the army. 她女扮男装，加入了军队。
Mulan became a brave soldier. 木兰成为了一名勇敢的士兵。
She was friendly to the other soldiers too. 她对其他士兵也很友好。
No one found out her secret. 没有人发现她的秘密。
The war was finally over. 战争终于结束了。
The emperor was very pleased with Mulan. 皇帝对木兰非常满意。
What do you want? “你想要什么？”
he asked. 他问。
Mulan said, I just want a horse to take me home. 木兰说：“我只想要一匹马带我回家。”
Mulan arrived home. 木兰到家了。
She took off her clothes from the army and put on her beautiful woman's clothes. 她脱下军装，穿上她美丽的女装。
Then she came out and met the soldiers. 然后她出来见了士兵们。
Who are you? Where's Mulan? asked the soldiers. “你是谁？木兰在哪里？”士兵们问。
I'm Mulan! “我是木兰！”
Mulan was so proud. 木兰非常自豪。

More than one hundred years ago, a girl named Marie lived in Poland. 一百多年前，一个名叫玛丽的小女孩住在波兰。
She loved her studies. 她热爱学习。
One day, when Marie was doing her homework, 有一天，当玛丽在做作业时，
her sisters were playing in front of her. 她的姐姐们在她的面前玩耍。
Marie did her homework like her sisters were not there. 玛丽做作业就像她的姐姐们不在那里一样。
Her sisters wanted Marie to stop studying and play with them. 她的姐姐们想让玛丽停止学习和她们一起玩。
