Three little pigs 三只小猪
Long ago, there were three little pigs. 很久以前，有三只小猪。
When they grew up, they left home to build their own houses. 它们长大后，离开家去建造自己的房子。
The first little pig built a house of hay. 第一只小猪盖了一座草房子。
It was easy to make. 做起来很容易。
It took him one day to build the house. 他花了一天时间盖好房子。
Then he went to play. 然后他就去玩了。
The second little pig built a house of wood. 第二只小猪盖了一座木头房子。
It took him three days. 花了他三天时间。
He was very happy. 他非常高兴。
He thought his house was nice. 他觉得他的房子很好。
The third little pig built a house of stone. 第三只小猪盖了一座石头房子。
It was hard work. 那是一项艰苦的工作。
It took him three months to build the house. 他花了三个月时间才盖好房子。
He was tired but happy. 他很累但是很开心。
The house was strong and beautiful. 房子又坚固又漂亮。
One day, a bad wolf came. 有一天，一只大坏狼来了。
He was very hungry. 他非常饿。
He liked to eat little pigs. 他喜欢吃小猪。
He got to the hay house. 他来到草房子前。
"Come out, little pig. I want to eat you!" “出来，小猪。我要吃掉你！”
roared the wolf. 狼吼道。
The first little pig locked the door. 第一只小猪锁上了门。
But the wolf blew the hay house down. 但是狼把草房子吹倒了。
The first little pig ran to the second pig's house. 第一只小猪跑到第二只小猪的房子里去了。
The wolf ran after him to the house made of wood. 狼追着他来到木头房子前。
"Come out, little pigs. I want to eat you!" “出来，小猪们。我要吃掉你们！”
roared the wolf. 狼吼道。
The two little pigs locked the door. 两只小猪锁上了门。
But the big bad wolf blew and blew... and the wooden house fell down. 但是大坏狼吹啊吹啊……木头房子倒了。
The two little pigs ran to the third pig's home. 两只小猪跑到第三只小猪的家去了。
The bad wolf ran after them to the stone house. 大坏狼追着他们来到石头房子前。
The three pigs hid inside the house. 三只小猪躲藏在房子里。
They were afraid. 他们很害怕。
The wolf blew and blew. 狼吹啊吹啊。
The stone house was very strong. 石头房子非常坚固。

There was a big vat. 那里有一个大水缸。
The vat was full of water. 水缸里装满了水。
One day, a group of children came to play with little Sima in the yard. 有一天，一群孩子来到院子里和小司马光一起玩。
They saw the vat and wanted to see what was inside. 他们看到了水缸，想看看里面有什么。
But they couldn't. 但是他们看不到。
The vat was too tall. 水缸太高了。
A little boy climbed up the vat. 一个小男孩爬上了水缸。
Splash! The boy fell into the big vat. 哗啦！ 男孩掉进了大水缸里。
The other children were very scared. 其他孩子非常害怕。
They did not know what to do! 但是他们不知道该怎么办！
They shouted and ran away. 他们大喊着跑开了。
But little Sima's parents were not home. 但是小司马光的父母不在家。
No one could come to help them. 没有人能来救他们。
Little Sima did not shout or run. 小司马光没有喊叫也没有跑开。
He was calm. 他很冷静。
He took a big stone and threw it hard against the vat. 他拿起一块大石头，用力砸向水缸。
Little Sima felt an awful pain in his hands, but he didn't stop. 小司马光感到手上一阵剧痛，但他没有停下来。
Little Sima tried hard. 小司马光使劲地砸。
Finally, the vat broke. 终于，水缸破了。
Water poured out. 水流了出来。
Little Sima's friend was saved. 小司马光的朋友得救了。
Just then, little Sima's parents returned home. 就在这时，小司马光的父母回来了。
They praised him. 他们表扬了他。
His mother said, "My son, you did the right thing!" 他的母亲说：“我的孩子，你做得对！”
What will be, will be. 顺其自然。
A long time ago, in the north of China, there lived an old man. 很久以前，在中国北方，住着一位老人。
He was a farmer. 他是一个农民。
He had many nice horses. 他有很多好马。
His family was happy. 他的家庭很幸福。
One night, a big black horse ran away from the farm. 一天晚上，一匹大黑马从农场跑掉了。
The old man was sad. 老人很伤心。
His friends came to say how sorry they were. 他的朋友们来安慰他。
The only thing the old man said was "What will be, will be." 老人只说了句：“顺其自然吧。”
And he went on with his work. 然后继续干他的活。
Months later, some people near the farm saw the black horse coming home with two beautiful white horses. 几个月后，农场附近的一些人看到那匹黑马带着两匹漂亮的白马回来了。
They told the good news to the old farmer. 他们把这个好消息告诉了老农。
He thanked them and said quietly, "What will be, will be." 他感谢了他们，平静地说：“顺其自然吧。”
And he went on with his work. 然后继续干他的活。
The old man's son loved the big black horse. 老人的儿子很喜欢那匹大黑马。
He wanted to learn to ride. 他想学骑马。
So, his father began to teach him. 于是，他父亲开始教他。
But during the boy's first lesson, he fell from the horse and broke his leg. 但是在上第一节课时，男孩从马上摔下来，摔断了腿。
He could not walk well. 他走路不方便了。
The boy was sad. 男孩很伤心。
The old farmer's friends came to say how sad they were. 老农的朋友们来慰问他。
