Making the mark 翻译：刻舟求剑

Some people were crossing the river in a boat. 翻译：一些人乘坐小船过河。

One man in the boat had a beautiful sword. He was cleaning it and showing it to everyone. 翻译：船上的一个男人有一柄漂亮的剑。他在擦剑并把它展示给大家看。

But the man wasn't careful and the sword fell into the river. 翻译：但是这个男人不小心，剑掉进河里了。

'oh, no!' the others said. 'your beautiful sword! Let's stop the boat to find it!' 翻译：“哦，不！”其他人说。“你漂亮的剑！我们把船停下来找一找吧！”

'don't worry!' said the man. 'I can wait!' 翻译：“不要担心！”男人说。“我可以等！”

'I can find it easily.' he made a mark on the boat with a small knife. 'there! Now I know where my sword is,' he said. 翻译：“我能轻易找到它。”他用一把小刀在船上做了一个记号。“好啦！现在我知道我的剑在哪儿了，”他说。

Soon the boat crossed the river and the man stood up. 翻译：很快船过了江，那个男人站起来。
