What was the situation like before the Red Army crossed Luding Bridge? 翻译:红军强渡泸定桥之前的局势是怎样的?

Who would be so crazy to cross on the chains alone and put themselves in great danger? 翻译:谁会如此疯狂,从仅存的铁链上过桥,将自己置于极度危险之中?

But that was what the Red Army did. 翻译:但红军就是这么做的。

Luding Bridge was some 103 metres or more, with 13 iron chains and wooden boards. 翻译:泸定桥全长约103米,由13根铁链和木板构成。

To stop the Red Army crossing the bridge, the enemy took away half the wooden boards. 翻译:为阻止红军过桥,敌人拆走了一半的木板。
