Are you often emotional? Don't worry — you're not alone! Most teenagers find it hard to understand and control their emotions at some point. Some of them hold on to their emotions for a long time, and others try to hide their feelings. It's totally normal! Your brain and body are changing rapidly, and this can cause emotional ups and downs. So, when you have an emotional problem, don't turn a deaf ear to it. It's good to recognise your emotions for what they are, but don't let your emotions take over completely! You need to manage your emotions. You can try to write down your feelings. If you're not much of a writer, try talking about them instead. When Jenny was a teenager, she was of medium height, well built, clever and sociable. At school, while Jenny was sitting in class, she looked around and wondered, "Why can't I be as tall as Alice? Why can't I be like John? He's outgoing and good at sports, and is the most popular student in school."
